EARLY INSPIRATION

Katherine has long been drawn to capturing the world through art.

Raised in the Bay Area and shaped by her time along the California coast, she came to believe that light, sensation, and fleeting moments often carry the most meaning. What began as quiet observation eventually grew into Kartidia Fine Art - a way to honor and share the subtleties of the natural world.

  • ARTISTIC PHILOSOPHY

Katherine avoids dramatized scenes, or what she calls “overdone cypresses.” Instead, she follows subtle shifts in nature: the drift of sand, the hush of a morning meadow, the space between tides. Her painting is not performance, but presence: an invitation to stop, feel, and remember.

  • PRACTICE & PROCESS

In the studio, each painting begins with observation, a pause, and quiet intention. Katherine works in deliberate layers, balancing precision with softness, contrast with stillness. Every mark is considered, and anchored in feeling rather than formula.

  • BRAND NAME & INTENT

“Kartidia" - inspired by kardia, the Greek word for heart - reflects the belief in art rooted in depth, intimacy, and sincerity. Each work is carefully curated as a visual and emotional sanctuary: accessible, soft, and sophisticated.

EXHIBITIONS & SIGNATURE MOMENTS

  • Commissioned pieces that live in homes and cherished spaces across California, Hawaii, Michigan, and Canada
  • Art pieces displayed in offices, homes, and private collections - selected for how they feel as much as how they look
  • Built in Nature Solo exhibition in the Bay Area, and won "Best in Show" for her watercolor landscape of the Carmel coast
